Logica Q3: signs of turnaround

Logica’s Q3 management statement shows signs of a turnaround, largely driven by outsourcing. Although revenues have fallen 4% (pro-forma), order intake as improved.
Key metrics:
- Orders up 6%
- Outsourcing orders up 16%
- Book to bill of 97%, compared to 87% for the same quarter last year, despite a poor performance from outsourcing
- Employee numbers almost unchanged
- Expected full year revenue decline of 3%
The outlook is encouraging, but the fall in outsourcing book to bill is a little worrying: however this does imply a strong recovery in book to bill in other businesses.
