ITV interim statement

The good news in ITV’s interim statement is that advertising revenues are stabilising, an encouraging change from the 11% year-on-year decline the company experienced in the last nine months.
Online revenues are growing strongly, but it is still too small a part of ITV (2% of total revenues) to make much difference, although it does get good advertising rates (18p per video view). Incidentally, these rates disprove arguments that ad supported internet video is not a sustainable business model.
There is nothing new on the sale of Friend’s Reunited, which has been referred to the competition commission.
