ICAP confirms may sell/close businesses

ICAP has confirmed that it is performing a “strategic review” of some of its businesses: in other words it is considering selling or closing down some of them.

The statement was very brief:

Following weekend press comment, ICAP confirms that the group is conducting a broad ranging strategic review of some of its cash equities businesses. A further announcement will be made once the review is completed.
